Leamington Cricket Club Won By 137 Runs
Match report
A resounding victory for Leamington, based on a sublime century for Dan McCarthy and a splendid all-round performance from Pardeed Kumar.
McCarthy pushed up the order and unable to bowl, hit 17 boundaries in making 120 including many straight down the ground. He was supported by Jack Bewick who made 29, and, in particular Kumar, whose violent 88*, included 13 4s and 3 sixes. Leamington closed on 291 - 6.
In response, Kenilworth were hampered as opener Dadswell was struck on the eyebrow and retired to Warwick Hospital for treatment. Leamington's bowling was mixed, gifting Kenilworth 41 extras, including 25 wides. Kumar took 4 for 41, and Paul Norman, mixing the unplayable with the unspeakable returned 3 for 15. Kelley made 71 for Kenilworth, who subsided to 154 All Out
