Match report A fantastic bowling and fielding performance saw the IIIs record a fine victory over Ashton under Hill on Saturday.

Batting first Leamington struggled in the face of some accurate Ashton bowling and were reduced to 76-6 with only Dave Hawkes making a start with 30 runs and Gaurav Gandecha 18. A fine 70 run 7th wicket partnership by Tom Davison 27 and Bopanna 34 helped Leam post a respectable 164-9.

The IIIs knew they had to replicate the visitors accurate bowling display to stand any chance of victory and opening bowlers Matt Davison and Bopanna did exactly that by reducing Ashton to 33-8.
Young Davison picked up the first 3 batters with Bopanna the next 3 and Davison picked up his first senior 5 for by removing batters 7 & 8 for ducks to finish his opening spell with figures of 6-3-11-5.
Asad and Tom Davison bowled well but were frustrated by another 70 odd run stand by Ashton's 9th wicker partnership before Asad removed Perks for a well made 40 and this left the returning Matt Davison to pick up the last wicker to finish with 8.3 overs 6 for 11.

A fine bowling display led by the excellent Matthew Davison capped a fine day and enabled Spa to continue there winning run.
