Warwick CC Staff v Leamington Cricket Club 3rd XI on Sat 03 Aug 2013 at 1.30pm
Leamington Cricket Club Lost by 11 runs
Match report
An overall poor performance by the IIIs condemned them to defeat on Saturday against local rivals Warwick County Council Staff.
Batting first Council compiled a competitive 189-9 off their 45 overs with extras top scoring on 45. A lack of urgency in the field along with complacency in the bowling allowed the hosts to score 50 runs to many. Pick of the bowlers was Lee Credgington who finished with 10-2-35-4.
In reply Leamington were handily placed at 120-4 after James Cowan had made 38 but in the face of some accurate bowling and intensity in the field Leamington innings meandered to 178-8 with Rob Ainscow making a 51.
In summary Leamington were beaten by the better team and they must dust themselves down for the road trip to Ashton under Hill.
