Leamington Cricket Club 4th XI v Winchcombe 2nd XI on Sat 03 May 2014 at 13.30
Leamington Cricket Club Won By 10 wickets

Match report Normal service was resumed by Leamington 4th XI as they began their CHL Division 5 campaign with a 10 wicket win over Winchcombe 2nd string.

Batting first, Winchcombe made a sticky start as none of the top five batters reached double figures, as Leamington's debutants Craig Patterson and Steve Axcell made early inroads. Axcell took 3 for 10, before Winchcombe recovered through Dear (45) and Andrews (27). The spin trimuvirate of James Wilson (2 - 19), Mark Ryan (3 - 33) and Wayne Killian (1 - 25) turned the innings back in Leamington's favour as Winchcombe were dismissed for 139.

Leamington's openers set about the target with gusto. Last year's hero, Billy Hallett, batting with a broken hand following an altercation with a wall, hit the bowling to all parts, whilst Mark Reynolds played second string rotating the strike with elan. Hallett ended on 106*, and Reynolds on 22 undefeated, as Leamington breezed to a 10 wicket win with less than half the allocated overs used.
