A consistent batting performance saw Leamington post a formidable 207 for 4. A run rate of 7/8 an over was maintained throughout the innings after an initial look at the bowling for the first 4 overs. Powerful strokes combined with good running between the wickets kept Harborne under pressure throughout the innings.

The bowling and fielding was exemplary and all the bowlers maintained good lines and lengths to keep the batsman struggling. Harborne were never allowed into the game and at 30 for 5 after 9 overs the result was never in doubt.

There was a symmetry to the bowling figures as Jack Hawkins, Louis Glover and Ollie Horswill all returned an impressive 2 for 4. Jack bowled with impressive accuracy with 3 out of his 4 overs maidens. Ollie on his U15 debut didn't concede a run off the bat and once he had fixed his radar after the first over bowled a very consistent line and well deserved his figures.

It was a very consistent batting performance with Henry Mortimer 51 not out, partnering Robert Lord 36 in a 58 run stand and then adding 48 with Callum Bobath 25. These partnerships provided the early impetus, whilst Brennan Lumby 35 not out and Cameron Mitchell 35 not out kept the scoreboard moving over the last 8 overs with a unbroken 4th wicket partnership of 71.

It was a great team effort and everyone contributed with either bat or ball.
