Leamington Cricket Club First XI squad
The First XI are looking to compete strongly in the Premier Division of the Birmingham League in 2011, following a last minute promotion last year.
First XI
Captain :
Rob Williams
Vice Captain :
Neil Smith
Players
David Bailey
David is a top order stroke maker, who has scored some vital runs for LCC over the years. Has been around for many years through the age groups. Can also bowl tidy medium pace in the middle of the innings. Also a very handy fielder in the ring
Michael Balac
Paul Best
Hasan Dar
Lawrence D'Silva
Simon Francis
Gaurav Gandecha
Dave Hawkes
Jack Hawkes
Great bloke
Lee Hopkins
I am currently a plumber, working with my daddys company called GHC. Played for Leamington since i was 13. I have been on the Warwickshire academy for 3 years, played midlands under 14 and 15. I love to wind people up at the club...fight with captain Rob Williams and drink and party hard with the lads.
Joseph Jones
I play for the U15A, 2nd, 3rd and 4thXI as a right arm seam bowler. I go to Warwick School.
Faisal Khalid
Mark Lewis
Mark ' the wall ' Lewis is definitly a batsmen you would choose to bat to save your life. He made the number 3 role his own last year by being the highest run scorer. Lets hope his 09' season is just as good. Decent pair of hands at gully. Will his off spin ever be used?
Tom Lewis
Tom is definitly one to look out for, he hits the ball as hard as anyone on his day, which he proved in his knock of 90 odd against West Brom. Rising in the ranks at Warwickshire, and very highly regarded in the area.
Simon Magill
Alex Phillips
Opening batsman at Loughborough University playing for the academy there and hoping for a first class debut with them in 2012! Played for Leamington since u12s and was originally seen as a leg spinner!
Dexter Purser
Chris Stearne
Richard Swann
Fine left-hand opening bat, whose knee is just dodgy enough the keep him out the Firsts! Scores loads of runs.
Will Tavare
James Uddin
The Prince!!!!!!! bowls devastating left arm seam and Left arm spin. Top four bat, very handsome!
Tom Warner
Bowling all rounder currently at Glamorgan University playing for the Cardiff Glamorgan UCCE. loving his time at LCC and hoping for immediate promotion back to the premier league!
Tim Westwood
Darrel Williams
Jimbo Williams
A left handed top order batsman and only required to bowl if times are desperate but can get some serious in swing. Cheeky chappy who enjoys the banter as much as anyone, and is a demon in the field. Been at the club since under 11s and hoping to push 1st team this year after averaging 40+ last year for the 2s.
