Update on net reopening

19 May 2020

Dear Members
Following the recent ECB announcement regarding net use, the club committee have considered the extensive guidelines and have agreed a limited opening up of the nets for use From Monday 25th but ONLY under the below conditions. The rules may seem long but this is the only way we can protect the safety of members and staff( a member of the committee will be present at all times the nets are open to oversee usage) at the club as well as adhere to both the government and ECB guidelines.

1.  Nets can only be used if a slot has been booked and agreed prior to use . Only paid up members will be permitted to book or use the nets. Anyone turning up without a prior booking will have to be turned away and will not be permitted to use the facilities. Bookings must be done via email to davisonmark7@aol.com. A confirmation email will be sent once, membership has been confirmed , detailing the time slot and net number.

2. Only the new nets will be in use ( while old nets are being refurbished) and only lanes 1 and 3 will be booked out to ensure social distancing is maintained.

3. Nets will be open for bookings on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday with time slots 10-11, 11.30-12.30, 1-2 and 2.30-3.30. We will also open on a Tuesday evening 6-7pm and 7.30-8.30pm. We would ask initially members only book one slot per week to allow as many members as possible to access the facilities, but this may change depending on demand/ old net refurbishment. We have left 30 minutes between bookings in order to minimise any crossover contact and we would ask that you do not arrive before your booked time. ALL NETS ARE CLOSED OUTSIDE OF THESE HOURS AND MUST NOT BE USED WITHOUT A BOOKING.

4. During the hours the nets are booked  both the main gate and gate to the nets will be open reducing the need for contact by members. Users should make their way straight to the allocated net at the booking time and leave the grounds immediately after finishing their net. Do not over run your time. This is to ensure Social distance can’t be maintained at all times.

5. A cleaning station will be available next to the nets. All users must sanitise  their hands before and after using the nets using the sanitiser  provided. Users must also wipe down any hard surfaces touched including the stumps with the anti bacterial wipes Provided and dispose of them in the bin next to the nets. DO NOT DROP OR LEAVE ON THE FLOOR.

6. Users must bring with them and use their own equipment including balls. Bowling machines will NOT be available for use and MUST NOT be used.

7. Bookings will be restricted to members of the same household or to 2 people( if not from the same house). The names of all users must be provided at the time of booking. Any users under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. This adult must social distance but be close enough to the nets to monitor the activity. A bench will be provided for this adult. NO OTHER SPECTATORS ARE PERMITTED.

8. All users must adhere to social distancing of at least 2 metres( unless all participants are from the same household )as required by government and ECB guidelines. Users must adhere to ECB guidelines in addition to the club ones and these are set out below

9. All users must check for symptoms of COVID19 prior to use of the nets. In line with Government guidance, if you are symptomatic, living in a household with a possible COVID19 infection or are classified as extremely vulnerable , you should remain at home for the regulated timeframe and follow government guidance.

10 .The clubhouse WILL NOT be open and therefore there will be NO TOILET facilities available. There will also be no water available so please bring your own.

11. Anyone who breaches the rules will not be allowed to make any further net bookings.
