Match report On an overcast day and damp wicket the IIIs, with a star studded batting line up from yester-year, were asked to bat first against visitors Tanworth & Camp Hill. Messers Paul Wilson, Wayne Killian and David Lord (the star studded batting line up) were all in the hutch before you could say 90's legends which left Leamington precariously balanced at 41-4. This brought all rounder Pardeep Kumar to the crease who in typically brutal fashion smashed a quickfire 67 to take the score the to 118-6 with 15 overs remaining. Another star of yester-year Guy Stanton 28 and skipper Matt Dale 29 not out managed to take the score to a respectable 192 all out in the 45th over.
Not knowing if this was a competitive total or not the IIIs got off to a perfect start curtsey of Pardeep who returned fine figures of 10-3-13-4 reducing Tanworth to 18-5 and was well supported by Lee Credgington 7-1-21-1. Tanworth were always on the back foot as a result of the early wickets and a fine spell of bowling from young Asad Ullah 7-4-8-0 heaped further pressure on the visitors. Killian with his bag of useful slow left arm helped himself to 3-37 off his allotted 10 over and was well supported by Nathan Credgington 8-1-33-1. Exceptional catching from Paul Wilson who bagged 3 chances also aided the fielding cause and helped wrap up a fine victory eventually dismissing Tanworth and Camp Hill for 138 in the final over. The IIIs are on the road next week to high flying Norton Lindsey.
