Leamington Cricket Club 2nd XI v Walmley on Sat 19 Jun 2010 at 12.30
Leamington Cricket Club Won by 3 wkts.
Match report
A very entertaining game that had many twists and turns along the way. Walmley batted first and racked up a daunting 257-6, a score that could have been 300+ but for a good spell of 15 overs in mid innings between James Uddin(2-39) and Simon MaGill(2-83).
In response Leamington lost the prolific MaGill for 1 in the 2nd over, this brought to the crease limping veteren Dave Hawkes (121*), who, with the aid of Wollaston(19) Uddin(25),Swann(19) Davison(18),and Allcock(25) timed the run chase to absolute last ball perfection.
This was a much needed moral boosting win, but, the bowlers once again gave away too many 4 balls, and the batsmen got themselves out whilst well set.
