Match report After being in a position of some strength after 21 overs (112-1), Leamington capitulated to 203ao in the 50th over. An excellent opening partnership between Mark Best(60) and pinch hitter Gaurav Gandecha(45) paved the way for greater things, but, a superb spell of off spin from Chapman(5-21 off 9 overs)stifled the rest of the Leamington batting with only stand in skipper Dave Hawkes(50) showing the necessary technique to combat a spinning wicket.
A good start with the ball was key, but once again too many four balls were served up and Wolverhampton raced to the target in only 31 overs. Man of the match Chapman added 94 runs to his impressive 5 wicket haul. Leamington could do well to emulate his bowling on 1 side of the wicket!!
