Shipston on Stour 1st XI v Leamington Cricket Club 3rd XI on Sat 31 Jul 2010 at 1.30pm
Leamington Cricket Club Won by 7 wickets
Match report
A top performance by the IIIs saw a victory over top of the table Shipston on Stour. Bowling first on a green tinged wicket a miserly spell from James Cowan & Tom Davison kept the Shipston top order under the cosh. Cowan eventually finishing with 3-27 off his 10 overs. Mid innings Lewis Baker returned excellent figures of 4-31 off 8.4 overs to close the innings on 163 all out.
In reply Leamington made light work of the total reaching it for the loss of 3 wickets. Rob Ainscow top scored with 85 and was ably supported by butter fingers Rob Wollaston, 27 and ex-sheriff of Shipston Mark Davison 39 not out. All guns blazing for next week against Ashton.
