Leamington Cricket Club 2nd XI v WOLVERHAMPTON on Sat 09 Jul 2011 at 12.30
Leamington Cricket Club Lost 3 points

Match report Top of the table Wolverhampton were the visitors to Arlington Avenue, and they went home with a well crafted victory.
On winning the toss, Leamington batted first but never really got going after 50 disciplined overs. Good contributions from Dave Hawkes(48), Richard Swann(41), Simon Magill(30), Jack Hawkes(24) and 24* from Darrel Williams ensured a respectable 182-9 total on a turning wicket. However, at 151-5 with 8 overs to go a much better total should have been achieved.
Leamington tried hard with the ball and showed much better control than of late, but, 7 dropped catches did not help matters and victory was achieved in the 46th over. Pick of the bowlers was Darrel Williams whose 15 overs of controlled leg spin deserved better figures. Mark Best also bowled with admirable accuracy in 6.4 overs of excellent seamers.
In the end the better team won the day and there was no disgrace in the loss, however, Leamington made all the mistakes in the game and when we eradicate these, someone is going to get a hiding!!!
