Match report An easy victory was achieved against a very weak Stratford second string. On winning the toss the visitors were invited to bat and had to face opening bowlers with first class experience!! However, at 41-0 off 10 overs Stratford were much the happier of the two teams. The breakthrough came with a Hassan long hop and wickets then fell at regular intervals. Pick of the bowlers once again was Darrel Williams (14-1-48-4), supported well by Simon Francis (10-2-20-2) and Jimmy Gethins (7.5-2-29-3)
The reply was positive from the off with Richard Swann(29) and Jack Hawkes(42) punishing some lack lustre bowling. Both however will have been disappointed to have got out to some poor shots. David Hawkes(28) hit some elegant boundaries before he became the first League wicket for Andy Goddard!! (LOL). Victory was achieved in the 27th over with some assured batting from Jimbo Williams(29*) and Simon Magill (25*)
