CHIPPING CAMPDEN v Leamington Cricket Club 3rd XI on Sat 23 Jul 2011 at 1.30
Leamington Cricket Club Won by 138 runs
Match report
A comprehensive win for the IIIs away at Chipping Campden saw a victory by 138 runs. Batting first on a traditional uncovered wicket Leamington made a solid 194-7 off 45 overs. On a slow low wicket the main contributors were Purser 45, Lord, 25, Grant 22 and Pardeep 36.
In the field Leamington youngsters Paul Lawrence and Joseph Somra bowled a tight line and length to restrict Chipping to 21-1 off the first 12 overs. Lawrence finished with 6-1-10-1 and Somra 6-3-9-0. Change bowlers Gaurav and Pardeep took advantage of the early miserly spell by ripping through the rest of the order, Pardeep bowled 7-0-14-4 and Gaurav 8-4-11-2. The innings was rapped up by Purser and Field who took 3 wickets between them bowling one over each leaving Chipping 56 all out. A fine bowling performance capped a great all round display.
