Match report In their final game of the season Leamington IIIs wrapped up the league with a comprehensive 9 wicket victory over Warwick County Council. Winning the toss and electing to bowl first the IIIs dismissed the Council for 81 inside 28 overs. A superb opening spell from Pardeep saw him dismiss the top 5 batters with a fine display of away swing bowling, he was abley supported with some fine slip catches by Mark Davsion and Simon Magill. The rest of the wickets were shared between David Lord (2) Rob Grant (2) and young Matthew Davison taking his first senior wicket. Matthew also followed in dads footsteps by taking a smart tumbling catch at square leg. WCC would have been disappointed to have been bowled out for 82 on what was a good wicket.
In reply Leamington openers Josh Boorman & Simon Magill made light work of the run chase as they reached the target in the 14th over for the loss of just 1 wicket, Magill departing with only 1 run needed for a well made 41. Young Boorman showed tremendous promise for next season with an undefeated 39.
This win capped a great season for IIIs, with only 4 defeats all season were they worthy winners of the league.
