Match report A dispiriting result for Leamington's 1st XI as they were totally outplayed by Dorridge.

Shorn of several key players through injury and non-availability, Leamington asked Dorridge to bat on a true wicket. Luck did not run with the Spa side early on, and Dorridge soon gained the initiative. No Leamington bowler was able to stem the flow, and all of Dorridge's top order scored well. Openers Jonathan Webb (39) and Valeed Butt started impressivley and then Butt was joined by Jamie Atkinson who made a sparkling 73. An undefeated 41 from skipper David Ball supported Butt who went on to make a fine 126. Dorridge declared on 332 - 5 after 48 overs; two wickets for the perseveering Olly Williams.

Leamington's response was thwarted by Dorridge's three main bowlers who bowled well with good control. Only Shabaaz Alam (23) passed twenty, as Leamington slumped to 99 All Out. Kasir Shah took 4 for 31 in a fine bowling display, backed up by two for Matt McGillivary and three cheap wickets for Ball.

Leamington find themselves bottom of the Division, but are hopeful that several players will return this Saturday.
