Leamington Cricket Club 2nd XI v Dorridge on Sat 08 Jun 2013 at 12.30pm
Leamington Cricket Club Won by 145 Runs

Match report Leamington Second string returned to winning ways with a surprisingly comfortable win over Dorridge.

Batting first, Leamington were indebted to a century on his seasonal debut from Jimbo Williams. Firstly with Jim Gethins (32) and then with captain Jason Butler (40), Williams took a liking to Dorridge's attack, hitting the ball to all parts. Leamington took tea on 263 - 8, a daunting but not unbeatable total on a lovely batting track. Williams made 107.

In reply, Dorridge batted as though they had an early evening social engagement! Whilst the score zipped along at a run a ball, wickets tumbled. Opening bowlers Dan McCarthy (3 for 27) and Will Field (2 for 44) made early inroads, and then the rest were mopped up by Jason Butler (2 for 13) and left armer Wayne Killian (3 for 34). Dorridge were dismissed for 118 with barely half their alloted overs completed.
