Old Hill v Leamington Cricket Club 2nd XI on Sat 15 Jun 2013 at 12.30pm
Match was Drawn Winning Draw
Match report
Leamington 2nd XI gained a winning draw in a rain affected match at Old Hill.
In a match initially reduced to 29 overs a side, Leamington reached a creditable 154 - 4. Opener Jack Bewick returned to form with a composed 38; he received good suppport from Jimbo Williams whose undefeated 51 was the backbone of Spa's total. Good contributions from Jack Hawkes (26) and Ady Butler (23*) ensured a competitive total.
Further rain restricted Old Hill to 20 overs, and they were up gainst it once openers Paul Lawrence and Tom Davison ripped out the top order each taking two wickets. An unlikely victory was on the cards, but Jared Daniels (42) and Mike Tromans (45*) restored order for Old Hill, and they were able to save the match, closing on 106 - 6.
