Barnt Green v Leamington Cricket Club 2nd XI on Sat 27 Jul 2013 at 12.30pm
Leamington Cricket Club Lost by 7 wickets

Match report Leamington 2nd XI's topsy-turvy season continued with a sub-standard performance at Barnt Green on Saturday.

Batting first on well-worn wicket, Leamington made a poor start as neither opener troubled the scorers. A series of injudicious shots, and an unfortunate run out, left Leamington reeling at 50 - 7. However, Jason Butler played a captain's knock, compiling a patient 59*. He received good support from Tom Davison (16) and Paul Lawrence (29*), as Leamington posted 170 - 9. For Green, Warwickshire coach Dougie Brown took 3 for 33, on a wicket taking exaggerated turn.

In response Green made a good start against varied bowling. There were two early wickets for Tom Davison, but Leamington were unable to wrest control from Green. Two straightforward chances were spurned, and Green eased to a comfortable victory as the clouds darkened, with 67* for Ravi Nagra and 22* for Brown. Leamington's only bright spot was Paul Lawrence who bowled a magificent spell with no luck at all.
