Stratford-upon-Avon v Leamington Cricket Club Under 11 on Mon 13 May 2013 at 18.00
Leamington Cricket Club Won
Match report
In a game that was under threat from the weather, some shower dodging, and a reduction in the number of overs agreed before the start, saw the teams manage to complete the game.
Stratford batted first setting a total of 234. Just the one wicket (Herd) and a run out (Glover) meant that a reasonable target had been set. In reply Leamington made a steady start (Boorman 8, Beresford 16), meaning that they had a lead of 4 runs with the final pair to bat. Glover and English played straight and safe adding just 2 more to the score before the final over. Glover then repeated the final over of last seasons fixture against Stratford by batting out a maiden to ensure the Leamington victory.
