Match report The only fixture to survive the weather in the Cotswold Hill Premier League turned out to be an entertaining low scoring encounter.

Batting first on a slow wicket and in the face on some accurate bowling Leamington found themselves in trouble at 27-5 before skipper Matt Dale 20 and Phil Whithead 20 helped the home side creep to 119-9 in their allotted 37 overs.

In reply Shipston found scoring difficult and also found themselves in trouble at 64-5 with Dan McCarthy removing both openers and brothers Tom and Matt Davison keeping things tight with Tom finishing with fine figures of 8-2-13-3. James Cutts also bowled well returning figures of 7-0-21-2

With the match entering the latter stages and Shipston needing 8 off the last over with 1 wicket remaining. Lee Credgington took the final honours clean bowling the last man giving Leamington an impressive 8 run win over league leaders and previously unbeaten Shipston
