Match report A week after the weather had unfairly snatched away victory over title chasing Bretforton, Leamington III were offered a second chance. This time it was two brilliant bursts of play that handed Bretforton victory. Batting first the visitors maintained a chaseable rate of five runs per over, until, with just six overs of the innings left, Berry (133*) brilliantly cut-loose and the final six overs yielded 72 runs, setting Leamington a now daunting 280 runs to win. The host’s reply got off to a brisk start until a spell of four wickets in eleven balls saw Key (4-24) tear-out the middle order. From 49-6 skipper Matthew Dale (48) lead a recovery, and with support from Tom Mackrill (30), Shamir Khan (27) and Matt Sellars (33) secured all five batting bonus points as the innings closed at 201. Bretforton won by 78 runs leap-frog Leamington in the Premier Division table.
