Match report Leamington's excellent season continued with the first team returned from the long trip to Oswestry, on the Welsh border, with a superb seven wicket victory.

Oswestry made the brave decision to bat first and got off to an excellent start as Warrick Fynn and Alex Huxley (29) put on 73 for the first wicket. Grant Thornton (3-44), however, continued his great form as he quickly turned the game with three quick wickets as the home side were reduced to 101-3. Mark Ashcroft (1-54) then clean bowled Fynn for a well made 82 and Jamie Marsh removed Carrasco (15) as the home side slumped to 137-5. Miles (35) and Morris (37*) did their bit to try and take their team to a respectable score but the story of the day was once again Jamie Marsh, who's impact since joining has been remarkable. He ripped through the middle and lower order to finish with figures of 5-46 off 13.3 overs - his third consecutive five wicket haul, as Oswestry concluded their innings with the score on 228 which always looked under par.

In reply, for the second consecutive week, Leamington's openers got their team off to a flyer as Jonathan Wigley (62) continued his fine run of form in an opening stand of 141 with, you guessed it, Jamie Marsh. Ollie Curril (17) soon departed but man of the match Marsh went on to complete an astonishing all-round performance as he bullied the spinners during his knock of 108 (121 balls, 16 x 4, 4 x 6). Once Marsh was out Tom Lewis (13* off 6 balls) and Lee Hopkins (24* off 11 balls) wasted no time in securing an emphatic win with over 13 overs remaining. The win now sees Leamington lie second in the table as they welcome Wellington to Arlington Avenue this Saturday.
