Leamington Cricket Club Under 16 v Water Orton on Sun 16 Sep 2012 at 2.00pm
Leamington Cricket Club Won by 114 Runs

Match report Leamington coasted to victory over Water Orton, and moved into the MCCC Lords Taverners Trophy at Harborne next Sunday.

Leamington batted first on a good wicket and made a fine start, adding 70 for the first wicket before Josh Boorman fell for 22. Jack Bewick was joined by Darrel Williams, and the scoring rate escalated, as they took their toll on a struggling Water Orton attack. Bewick made 72 and Williams 54, as Leamington closed on a daunting 179 - 4 in 20 overs.

Leamington tore into Orton's top order as Will Field and Joe Jones bowled testing spells. The introduction of Williams hastened Orton's demise as he took four cheap wickets, as the visitors crumbled to 65 All Out. Two wickets for Field, and singles for Jones, AJ Gothoskar and Rajgul Jabarkhain.

An imperious all round performance bodes well for Finals Day!
