Match report Leamington's season came to an end with defeat in the MCCC Lords Taverners Trophy final gaianst Old Elizabethans.

Leamington bowled first and OEs made steadt progress, based around opener Taylor, who compiled a measured 54. Will Field was, once more, the pick of the bowlers, taking 4 for 16, and off-spinner Jay Jolil contributed well with 3 for 18. Taylor had been dropped howver when he had just passed 20, and this was the defining moment of the game. OEs closed on 114 - 8, a testing but achievable target.

Leamington's much vaunted batting line up failed to spark, with none of the top order able to build a match winning innings. OEs varied attack bowled well, but some soft dismissals aided their cause. Only Josh Emery with 24, and AJ Gothoskar and Field showed the necessary application, and Leamington stumbled to 95 All Out, giving OEs a deserved victory.
