Broadway 2nd XI v Leamington Cricket Club 4th XI on Sat 21 Jun 2014 at 13.30
Leamington Cricket Club Won by 5 wicket

Match report Leamington consolidated their position in the second promotion slot with an ultimately comfortable win at third-placed Broadway.

Broadway batted first and got off to a flyer as Leamington's opening bowlers were unable to find the right line and length. The returning Will Field finally broke through thanks to a fine slip catch from Wayne Killian and the introduction of Shahmir Kunwar turned the innings in Leamington's favour. Bowling a testing length, he snared five Broadway batters - all clean bowled. Useful support came from Mark Ryan with a pair of victims and Killian mopped up the tail to leave Broadway all out for 150 with nearly 14 overs unused. Leamington's generosity amounted to 41 extras, just topping McDonagh's fine 40 for Broadway.

Leamington made a positive start in chasing the below par target. Killian (42) and Paul Wilson (30) both played some lovely shots, allowing forer Broadway skipper Shaun Williams (20)and Kunwar (23) to bring victory near. A dropped catch saw the winning single scored as Leamington cantered to 151 - 5 with 26 overs to spare.
