Match report Leamington squeezed out a win at picturesque Winchcombe, defending a low total.

Leamington batted first on what proved to be a low, slow Trent Bridge type wicket. Wayne Killian fell to the first ball of the day,soon followed by Shaun Williams who chased a wide delivery. Drinks saw off Mark Reynolds and whilst Liam Killian made 25, Leamington were in strife at 75 - 5. However captain Jocky Wilson has set out his stall to bat through, and he received valuable support from Will Dixon, whose cavalier 32, saw Leamington towards respectability. However, Leamington's tail failed to wag, and Wilson was left 37*,as his side were dismissed for 143 in the 40th over.

Leamington needed to bowl well and they started well through Steve Axcell and Gary Bass. Wayne Killian then tore into the top order taking four quick wickets, as Winchcombe fell victim to the quicker ball on a number of occasions. Leamington's support bowlers were less of a threat and Winch appeared to be cruising until a sharp run out precipitated a collapse. Liam Killian came to the for with two late wickets, as Winch were dismissed for 131 with 11 overs to spare. Wayne Killian's 5 for 12 was the stand out performance.

Leamington have a slender lead at the top of the division over Stoneleigh who they play at Arlington Avenue on Saturday.
