Inkberrow v Leamington Cricket Club 4th XI on Sat 28 May 2016 at 13.30
Leamington Cricket Club Lost by 1 Wicket

Match report
Leamington batted first on a two-paced wicket and made a steady start through Paul Wilson and Rob Ainscow. Wilson made 26 and a middle order wobble gave Inkberrow the upper hand. Ainscow remained to anchor the innings and he made a patient 82 without ever really timing his shots. Matt Leatherdale played some lovely cover drives making 21, whilst Shaun Williams’ 38* saw Leamington to a competitive 217 for 6 at tea.

Inkberrow made a positive start and appeared to be on course for victory, always being slightly ahead of the rate. Leamington chipped away though and a late three wicket surge from Mark Ryan appeared to have turned the match in Leamington’s favour. Two late boundaries in his last over kept Inkberrow in with a shout and they snatched a dramatic victory, as, needing five off the last ball with the last pair at the crease, ‘keeper Bailey hoisted the last ball over square leg for six! A narrow one wicket victory keeps Inkberrow at the top of Division 4, whilst Leamington take some comfort from their performance if not the result.
