Exhall & Wixford III v Leamington Cricket Club 4th XI on Sat 01 Jun 2013 at 1.30pm
Leamington Cricket Club Won by 64 Runs
Match report
Leamington 4th XI march on in their quest for promotion with a comfortable win over Exhall & Wixford III.
Leamington batted first and made a good start adding 90 for the first wicket, thanks to Rob Ainscow's quick-fire 63. They then folded to 111 for 6, before making a recovery thanks to 30 from Patrick Mills and 24* from Joe Jones, plus a fine, mature 38* from young Jujhar Johal. Leamington took tea at 217 - 7.
A good, quick opening spell from Jones and James Cutts put Exhall under pressure, and they remained behind the rate for the rest of the match. Fine spells from Yogesh Narvekhar and Mark Ryan (3 for 21) turned the screw further. Exhall persevered but ended on 153 - 7, giving Leamington a win by 64 runs.
