Bearley v Leamington Cricket Club 4th XI on Sat 11 May 2013 at 1.30pm
Leamington Cricket Club Won by 64 Runs
Match report
A comprehensive victory for Leamington's 4th XI at Bearley.
Leamington's challenging total was built on contributions throughout the top and middle order. Paul Wilson (31) and Ben Ashmore (45) added a leisurely 80 for the second wicket, and Billy Hallett (42) and Jujhar Johal (43) maintained the momentum. Cameos from James Cutts and Pat Mills - both making 19* - ensured a competitive Leamington total of 222- 5 in 45 overs.
Bearley had a reduced target of 183 in 37 overs and despite two early wickets for Dan Mills, were up with the rate. Leamington persisted in bowling their spin triumvirate, and were rewarded as Bearley's batters began to find the fielders at last. Johal ended with 1 for 36, whilst leggie James Wilson took three wickets, aided by two fine catches from father Paul. As ever, Mark Ryan cleaned up the tail with two cheap wickets, as Bearley folded to 118 All Out.
